It's been a long time since I've blogged about anything. I honestly forgot I even had this blog. Here's a synopsis of the past few months. I'm not sure where I left you with my last entry, but here it goes.
I went back to work in Sept., when Ellie was 6 weeks old. Dana stayed home with her the first week, my mom stayed the second week, Dana's mom stayed with her during weeks 3 and 4, then my mom came back for week 5. It was so nice to have family take care of her while she was so little. In mid October, Ellie headed to daycare. I love her daycare provider! She's the mother of a former student of mine whose home daycare is less than a mile from where I work. Ellie seems very happy there.
This year has been my favorite school year so far. I'm really enjoying it. I was a bit apprehensive, since I was out the first 2 weeks. Things ended up being just fine, though.
We are moving soon! Yay for a house! The plan is to move in April or May. We will have our down payment all ready soon. Then we will narrow down areas we are interested in. After that, we will start looking at specific houses in those areas we like. Safety and schools are the main criteria for us as we seek out places to live.
Ellie is getting so big! Our little used to be peanut is now 15 lbs. or so. She's 26 in. long! It's fun to watch her change. She's able to roll from back to belly, track moving things, smile, laugh, eat a couple bites of cereal, hold her head up high while laying on her belly and kick her legs very rapidly in the tub. She's been finicky lately, but we've been at Dana's parents' for a week, so she's out of her normal routine and environment.
